Mortgage protection insurance

Your home loan still needs to be paid in the event that you need to take time off work due to injury or illness, or even in the event of your death. BEAT's mortgage protection insurance policy covers your mortgage repayments up to $1 million in the event of death or total and permanent disability. It also provides up to $4000 per month for your mortgage repayments if you are off work and not earning an income due to an injury or an illness.

BEAT's Mortgage Protection insurance is available to all eligible customers with a home loan. The policy may be taken out at any time during the term of your loan and is available for both owner occupied residences or investment properties.

To be eligible for BEAT's Mortgage Protection insurance you must be:

  • 20 to 60 years of age,
  • an Australian resident, and
  • applying for a home loan with BEAT or
  • have an existing home loan with BEAT
